#144 – CanToy Divas

Hello from the sunny (Smoky) Okanagan Valley in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada. CanToy Divas are elated to be able to compete for our 2nd time in the Rebelle this October. I, Liza Tough, will return as the driver with Sue Chapin once again navigating. We never imagined that Covid would have the borders closed for the second year in a row. I remind myself often of one of Emily’s sayings, “if it were easy everyone would do it.” Our beloved Cali (2017 Toyota Tacoma) will make the trip across the border once again without us, but will be in the excellent hands of Amy and John (Amy, is an original Rebelle and one of the ladies that started our Rebelle dream); We then fly into Seattle and meet up with Cali there. This year’s trek to the Rebelle will be extra special as we are meeting up with some PNW Rebelles that we met last year, to convoy with them to Lake Las Vegas. After last year’s rally we had plans to meet up in WA & OR with other local Rebelles to train, but with borders closed we couldn’t make this happen. We have truly missed these ladies! Since last year we both have been working hard on our Navigation skills and meet weekly to strengthen our skills together. We’ve also been meeting every second Friday to do some on route practice, either off-road or pavement. We would like to thank our sponsors for believing in us and all of their support.
