Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt – John Muir AND I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination -Jimmy Buffett
I’ve rafted 5 of the largest rivers in the world.
Been watching from the sidelines for way too long. It’s time to buckle up.
My daughters inspire me every day with their original thoughts and kind hearts. Strong women with both high emotional and intelligent quotients.

I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in. – John Muir
I just finished (Aug 28) hiking the John Muir Trail in the Sierras.
Because I have been obsessed with the Paris/Dakar Rally since I was a high school student in Paris. Because in the spring of 2020, a fellow female Search and Rescue member asked if I had heard of the Rebelle Rally, and when I said no, she forwarded me the promo video of the Rally. I watched the video, was brought to tears by it, and have kept it on my radar ever since. Because in the wonderful way the universe works, I made a new friend that same spring, Lindsey Hahn, who ended up asking if I’d join her in participating in – of all things - the Rebelle Rally! (and of course I said YES immediately!)
My two girls. Their strength, creativity, intelligence, and compassion fill my heart and soul.

Only Murders in the Building
Hiking the John Muir Trail in the summer of 2023. During 21 days on trail, my good friend Ellen and I hiked 240 miles with 45k gain - fording countless streams, crossing endless amounts of snowfields, navigated miles and miles of trails hidden under snow and avalanche debris, and never once ceasing to be amazed at the epic scenery this trail offered up. We left the JMT a bit beat up but endlessly grateful for being granted the chance to experience it all!
