10TH RALLY EDITION: OCTOBER 8 – 18, 2025

#183

Go2Genba

We first met in 2017 when we were assigned as desk mates at Toyota R&D. We quickly bonded over our love of dogs, traveling, fitness, and good food. After our desks were moved, we stayed connected through our involvement with Toyota R&D’s WIIT (Women Influencing and Impacting Toyota) organization. Heather currently serves as the Chair, and Allison is a highly involved veteran of the Steering Committee team. When we’re not busy traveling, you may find us training for a triathlon (Heather’s questionable ideas), lifting weights at the gym (those spare tires are heavy!), or hanging out at our favorite Ann Arbor beer garden.

A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.

Fun Fact:

Even outside of work, I am surrounded by automotive engineers. Within my immediate family 4 different automotive OEMs are represented. I think it's safe to say a lot of our conversations revolve around cars...

Why the Rebelle? Why now?

As soon as I heard about the Rebelle Rally, I knew it was right up my alley. I've been honing my off-roading, vehicle maintenance, and navigation skills in preparation for this moment, and I am honored to represent Toyota R&D this year. I am so inspired by the past Toyota teams, and it's been exciting to watch them compete and hear their stories. I can't wait to take on this new adventure with my dear friend Allison!

Greatest adventure to date?

Backpacking through Yosemite National Park with my husband, Alex. The views were epic, and the grand finale was a climb up the Half Dome cables. My palms are sweating just thinking about it.

Why the Rebelle? Why now?

I heard about Rebelle 3 years ago when the first team from Toyota R&D joined and I was highly interested. I saw what information and skills were required to be selected and I started to gather those in my toolbox over the past few years. This year it came together for Heather and I to compete together as a team, I am glad I have had some time to prepare and am always excited for a new challenge!
