Kimberly and Joanna’s paths crossed at a gathering hosted by a veteran Rebelle. Soon after, they decided to become a team. Joanna, a veteran navigator from the 2019 Rebelle Rally, has always wanted to drive her Jeep Wrangler in the rally. After getting lost hiking in Italy and unable to read a topographical map, Kimberly was inspired to improve her navigation skills, joined RebelleU, and pursued her dream of competing in the Rebelle Rally.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." - Chinese proverb
I fly quad line sport kites and formed a 4 person performance team called 4x4, and this was before I got into 4x4s of the vehicular kind.
I found out about the Rebelle around the same time I bought my Jeep and introduced myself to the off-road world. A competition that was not a race appealed to my more cautious and precise nature, and I decided I wanted to drive my Jeep in the Rebelle. However, the first time around, it was hard to find a navigator, and I decided in 2019 that it was more important to me to do the Rally, even as a navigator, than to drive my Jeep in the Rally. More recently though, it was time to make my initial vision a reality, and I found a teammate who was willing to navigate this year.

“Don't sit down and wait for the opportunities to come. Get up and make them.” - Madam C.J. Walker
I have visited all 7 continents.
I've been watching the Rebelle Rally for a number of years. I've been working on building my offroad driving and navigation skills. With a big birthday coming up, I decided that now is the perfect time to take on this challenge. This is my gift to myself— the opportunity to push my limits and celebrate a milestone in a way that's both meaningful and unforgettable.
I’m inspired by selfless people who dedicate their time and energy to giving back to the communities that have helped them or where they live and work. Seeing individuals who make a positive impact without expecting anything in return motivates me to do the same and reminds me of the power of compassion and generosity.

My greatest adventure was returning from Antarctica in March 2020, right as the pandemic was starting to shut down the world. It was surreal to travel from such a remote place, only to find everything had changed so drastically while I was gone. The journey home was filled with uncertainty, and navigating that experience made it an adventure I’ll never forget
