Sandra and Myra met in 2023 at Toyota’s Rebelle Luncheon in February 2023. They both worked with motorsports teams back in college (Sandra with SAE Baja and Myra with SAE Formula) and connected over their shared love for motorsports. Sandra already had experience with Off Roading beforehand, and Myra was completely new to Off Roading but had experience taking her car to the track numerous times.
As a team, they went through equal seat times of training during our first year, and later decided on a set role that best suited each of them. During the rally, they focused primarily on effective team communication and strengthening the basic skills used in Rebelle. Despite the humbling challenges, Rebelle made the team more confident in their abilities to tackle whatever challenges came their way. They are taking this very spirit into the competition this year. Team 182 is beyond grateful to get the opportunity to represent Toyota in this world class event and learn even more about themselves and test their and the vehicle’s abilities.

“People are going to judge you anyway, so you might as well do what you want.”
I’m getting married a week before the Rebelle Rally this year and I get to go on our ideal honeymoon...but without him!
I am fortunate enough to be able to compete in the Rebelle Rally through Toyota who supports Women in Engineering. The Rebelle will challenge me to get out of my comfort zone. I am excited to find out what situations & obstacles we will get into and how we will work together as a team and what I will learn about myself from this experience!
My family inspires me the most because they showed me all aspects on how I should live my life through their experience, work ethics and sacrifices. They motivate me to strive to always be the best and to work hard because it will always pay off in end.

Never in a million years did I think I would ever leave the Big Apple, but moving from NYC to Kentucky was definitely the greatest adventure to date.

“Winners don’t do different things; they do things differently.”
I am ranked in the top 10 in the world (for 2022) for white belts in Jiu Jitsu (Gracie Barra Schools).
The Rebelle embodies an experience that brings together my love for cars and driving, coupled with the challenge of learning how to off road, navigate, strategize, survive, work as a team and be an overall adventurer. Rebelle gives me the confidence that I can achieve anything. I set my mind too and keeps humbling me with its challenges.
What inspires me the most is the desire to have both an exciting and fulfilling personal and professional life with minimal regrets. I want to keep dreaming and enjoy the hard process of achieving my goals and be grateful for the life and experiences that surround me.
