#115 – Resilient Riders

Fonda and Wendi met on the sidelines of their son’s soccer field 8 years ago. With the Rubicon Trail being their playground their common interest in Jeeps began. Fonda discovered the Rebelle Rally several years ago and had been following it ever since. She was amazed at the grit and determination of all the women. Fonda’s husband knowing how much she loved seeing the women compete registered her for the rally as a Christmas present. She then invited Wendi to join her on the amazing adventure. The women chose the name “Resilient Riders” to represent a “Never Give Up” attitude both in the rally and in life. Since committing to the rally, Fonda and Wendi have experienced highs, lows, tears and laughter as a team. It has brought them closer together as friends and they believe they are already winners even before the start of the rally because of these experiences. The team has learned so much from training the past 10 months that will be used not only in the rally but in other aspects on their journey through life. They have learned how to map, navigate, work on cars, work as a team, and most of all persistence. With everything going on the world today, the rally gave the team something to focus on that was fun, challenging and rewarding. They can’t wait to put all the training to the test!
