Happy Holidays Rebelle Community!
Almost two months ago, we crossed the finish line of the seventh annual Rebelle Rally competition with 54 teams, our largest field to date. The 2022 Rally featured many competition firsts, including a shake-up of the competition format and first-time visits to iconic California and Nevada locations. The 2023 Rebelle Rally has only a few spots remaining. Don’t miss out.
Ready to train for your next adventure? Rebelle U offers 1, 2 or 4 day trainings which offers a comprehensive platform for success, whether you’re a returning or future Rebelle or just gearing up for backcountry adventures. Rebelle U will host a “How to Rebelle” at Overland Expo and return to the Overland Rallies with a full schedule of classes! Here is the schedule below for your reference:

Rookies of the Year
Awarded to the teams with the highest overall accuracy, in both 4×4 Class and in the X-Cross™ Class. Both teammates must be competing in the Rebelle Rally for their first time, regardless of previous competition experience in other events, rallies, or races.

Bone Stock Award
Presented to the team and the vehicle manufacturer of the Bone Stock team that gets the highest score in a completely stock vehicle.

2022 Contingency Awards
2022 Pirelli Scorpion™ Tire Challenge
In the spirit of competition and giving back, Pirelli offered a contingency program for Rebelle teams who ran Pirelli Scorpion™ tires during the competition. Teams were entered to win money toward a team’s designated nonprofit plus an additional cash prize in the case of a podium finish.
- 1st – Team #188 Dirt Hustle (Laura Wanlass / Maria Guitar) $1,000 to Destiny Rescue
- 2nd – Team #187 Limestone Legends (Lily Macaruso / Alex Anderson) $500 to Nature Conservancy
- 3rd – Team #186 Yellow Yetis (Rosanna Nuch / Nicole Johnson) $250 to charity of their choice
- Podium Finisher: Team #188 Dirt Hustle (Laura Wanlass / Maria Guitar) – $500 for a 2nd place finish to Destiny Rescue
Scrubblade Contingency
New for 2022, Scrubblade offered a contingency program for Rebelle teams who ran Scrubblade wiper blades during the competition. Teams in both classes were entered to win money toward their designated nonprofit of choice.

MAXTRAX Contingency
Back again in 2022, MAXTRAX offered a contingency program for Rebelle teams running MAXTRAX during the competition. The overall top scoring team in either class was awarded $1,000 to the team. In addition, the MAXTRAX Team Spirit Award honors the team who assisted the most stuck vehicles by giving $500 to the charity of their choice.

Rebelle Impact Awards
Rebelle Impact is a brand and fund rooted in the principle of “what happens beyond the competition and score matters most.” Our mission is to elevate women across the globe and at home, and to make a positive impact in our communities – from empowering girls and women to caring for our environment.
International Cup
The highest scoring team where both teammates are non-US citizens or holding dual citizenship and own a valid non-US passport. A minimum of one teammate must live full-time abroad.

Team Spirit
This special award is selected by the competitors and given to the team that displays the best attitude, helps others, and defines the Rebelle spirit. Rebelle Spirit is defined as a positive attitude in the face of adverse conditions and challenging situations.
- Team #133 Stormtrooper (Heidi Dillard / Suzi McBride) $5,000 to Girls Who Code, Team #133 matched the donation for a total of $10,000 to Girls Who Code

With a focus on commercial applications for hydrogen-powered systems, RI designs and manufactures primary and backup power generation systems for rapid EV charging, office parks, data centers and retail facilities as well as infrastructure solutions and systems. For the Rebelle Rally, Renewable Innovations is bringing advanced mobile, on-course EV charging stations, as well as energy storage and power conversions for base camp and field use.
