Art of Rebelle Presented by Pirelli made its debut at The Motoring Club in Los Angeles last month. The event was conceptualized to celebrate the Rebelle Rally – the competitors, vehicles, course and competition – through the stunning imagery and video collected over the past 7 years.
Competition vehicles, photos and a 20’ projection wall showcased the challenge, soul and depth of what the rally truly is to those who haven’t seen it up close in-person the remote locations the rally traverses. DJ Tessa, who oversees a collective of Los Angeles’s best female DJs, set the vibe while guests took it all in and spoke at length with competitors.
“The imagery from the Rebelle is carefully curated to capture the art of the competition and we are very fortunate to work with some of the greatest content collectors. Our goal through our visuals is to honor all those who are a part of the Rebelle Rally, and Art of Rebelle is a great way to bring it to those who might otherwise not grasp the depth and breadth of this extreme challenge and exceptional community.” – Rebelle Founder Emily Miller
With Toyota recently announced as a Silver Sponsor of the Rebelle Rally and continuing as the official Presenting Sponsor of the Live Webcast, we thought it was the perfect time to get to know the people behind the brand. So we sat down with Toyota representatives including 2x Rebelle team Samantha Barber and Becky Brophy, to dive a little deeper into why the company chose the Rebelle – and what makes the rally the ultimate proving ground for their vehicles.

There’s something about KÜHL and it’s not just the cool name. We’ve been big fans of their clothing for years, and the following standout pieces are why. To give some perspective, we need to pack light, efficiently and prepare for a wide range of temperatures and conditions. And as all Rebelles know, we often live in our clothes for days. So we better love each piece of gear.
Starting with one of our favorite jackets: the Women’s Spyfire Jacket. This mid-weight puffy jacket has been a staple of our wardrobe for years. The fit is great and keeps us warm, but is lightweight and comfortable to wear just about anywhere. It always looks pro, the construction is top-quality and the Spyfire works whether we’re camping, at the office, or grabbing a cup of coffee. Everything we’ve ever wanted in a jacket and more. Choose the regular collar or hoody.
And to compliment our go-to jacket, we suggest the Weekendr™ Tight. These form-fitting hiking pants are high performance, whether you are on the Rebelle, in the gym or anywhere in between. With a water-resistant finish that holds up in even the most unpredictable weather, we love the deep pockets, functional material, and how great they look even after wearing them for more days than we should probably admit. These are durable, breathable, and have lived beyond our expectations every time we wear them. Rebelle tested and passed with flying colors!
Join us on Tuesday, August 29th at 3-5pm PDT for a 120-minute live online course on navigation fundamentals, with practical tips for practicing at home. We will review compass, map, coordinates, distance and headings, and roadbooks. This class is best for beginners and intermediates who could use reminders and tips. It is also excellent for those interested in competing in navigation rallies and adventures requiring navigation knowledge.
Drivers and navigators! Judging distance accurately is an important skill in the backcountry and when rallying. Practice by looking for objects and landmarks in the distance and guessing how far. Check against your odometer or app and turn it into a fun road trip challenge. You can become proficient quickly — practice often. #PresentedbyPennzoil #LongMayWeDrive
Grit. A key component for those who wish to succeed. One doesn’t need it to compete, but needs it to excel. When challenges are tough in rally and life – choose git, humor, embrace the work, embrace the challenge and infuse it with a dose of perspective….”But did you die?” #ArtofRebelle
