As the 9th Rebelle Rally draws near, the final pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. Awards Refresher: Beyond the Podium
The Rebelle Rally celebrates more than podium finishes—there’s a host of other accolades recognizing the accomplishments and spirit of our competitors. Here’s a look at what other awards competitors are in the running for this October.
- Team Spirit Award:
Chosen by competitors and staff, this award honors the team that exemplifies the Rebelle spirit—helping others and maintaining a positive attitude. The prize? A $5,000 donation to the team’s chosen charity, revealed at Rebellation. - International Cup:
Global recognition. The highest-scoring International team (two non-US entrants) will direct a $2,500 donation to a non-profit of their choice. - Rookie of the Year & Podium:
For first-time competitors, the highest-scoring team in both classes will earn the distinction “Rookie of the Year.” Starting in 2023, given how challenging the competition is for rookies, we award 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for a team of two compromised of first-time Rebelle competitors. - Daily Stage Winners:
Consistency is key. Each day’s top-scoring team gets a shoutout for their performance. - Contingency Program:
- PIRELLI – The SCORPION™ Tire Challenge:
A challenge within the challenge. The top three Pirelli-equipped teams in each class will earn donations to their chosen non-profits:- 1st place = $1,000
- 2nd place = $500
- 3rd place = $250
- Class Podium Bonuses:
If a Pirelli-equipped team lands on the podium, they earn extra cash for their team or charity:- 1st: $1,000
- 2nd: $500
- 3rd: $250

Team Feature: Dead Reckoning
Team #147, Dead Reckoning, is back with unfinished business. After competing with different teammates in their rookie years of ‘22 and ‘23, Alana Trejo (who goes by Lani!) and Lisa DeLuca are joining forces this year to take the desert by storm. Even in a High Tech World, Navigation Skills Matter
Since the inception of the Rebelle Rally, we’ve been talking about what to do when technology fails. Do you have the skills to navigate when your GPS goes dark or when the digital maps are no longer an option? A great read on why navigation skills are so important is laid out in detail by Dr. John Huth in “The Lost Art of Finding Our Way.” John Edward Huth is the Donner Professor of Science in the Physics Department at Harvard University and begins with a story of personal survival followed by a perfectly woven tale of history, science and exploration.
