We met at an industry event, just after I (Lou) came back from the Rebelle in 2022, and she was hooked! We bonded over our love of the sea, sailing adventures and also, working in a very male-dominated field as captains and yacht brokers, have always had time for each other to wrangle with the intricacies of the job, and the human condition!

After signing divorce documents in Australia (a long, long time ago) I bought a one-way ticket to go sail, travel and work on yachts. I was still doing that 14 years later.
I had a tough time inside the car (and sometimes outside the car!) with my teammate in 2022. Despite that, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. That, and I can't wait to put my cell phone away for a week.
Fearlessness. For doing crazy fun stuff, but also for living totally authentically and understanding how that looks.

I have been in the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean on the same day.
Learned about the Rebelle in 2016 when my friend Lisa Wolford competed. She won the x-cross in 2018. I had always wanted to participate but figured once I moved to Florida I wouldn't be able to find someone to compete with, but then Lou found me!
The world at large. There are so many people out there doing so many cool things. Just want to be one of them!
Anything by Clive Cussler, or Lincoln Child, love a good adventure mystery. I wore out my DVD of Captain Ron and my Friends box set.
Salin in the Baja Ha-Ha. 14 days that starts in San Diego, California, and ends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The journey covers approximately 750 nautical miles.
