March Update: More daylight, more drive.

As we celebrate Year TEN—and Women’s History Month, though we celebrate women all year round—we’re kicking off our new staff highlight series with Competitor Liaison Andrea Bullard, who’s been with us from the very start. Plus, our latest “Where Are They Now?” features two-time competitor Racquel Black, who’s putting the resilience and resourcefulness honed at the Rebelle to work, empowering Native entrepreneurs through her community-focused career. We’ve also included a fresh Rebelle U Tip Presented by Pennzoil, our latest Rebelle Selects, and more inspiration straight from the Rebelle community.

Read on to learn Andrea’s rally essentials, Racquel’s compelling journey post-Rebelle, and plenty more from the trail.

Where Are They Now: Racquel Black

For 2x competitor Racquel Black, the Rebelle Rally wasn’t just about off-road navigation—it was a reminder of the skills she already had and the confidence to trust them. Growing up on the Navajo Nation, resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving were second nature, but the rally pushed her to refine those strengths in a whole new way.

Since then, she’s stepped into a leadership role at Change Labs, a Native-led nonprofit supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs, managing the first co-working space on the Navajo Nation and co-leading a business incubator. And whether she’s navigating the backroads of the reservation or helping small business owners find their way forward, the lessons of the Rebelle are always with her.

This month’s Where Are They Now feature highlights 2x Rebelle Racquel Black—see where the rally has taken her now.

ICYMI: Rebelle Founder Emily Miller’s TEDx Talk

Rebelle founder Emily Miller took the stage at TEDx Belltown Women to share honest, hard-earned lessons on handling uncertainty. If life feels a little chaotic or unclear right now, Emily offers a practical, tactical 3-step approach—grounded in real experiences—using the principles of navigation that anyone can apply. Check out the full talk and find your way forward (without relying on your phone!).

Staff Highlight - Andrea Bullard

As we mark the milestone of Year TEN at the Rebelle Rally, we’re proud to kick off our staff highlight series. Each month, we’ll feature key team members whose dedication and hard work shape the Rebelle experience. We’re starting with Andrea, a foundational member of our team who’s been instrumental since day one, supporting competing teams as our Competitor Liaison. Read on to get the inside track from Andrea—including what keeps her coming back year after year, her must-have Rebelle essentials, and her secret to balancing it all (hint: coffee is involved!).

We love seeing Rebelles featured in the news! Sarah Crabtree, who competed in 2022 driving a 1992 Land Rover Defender 110 alongside fellow Land Rover enthusiast Regina Recifo, was recently highlighted for restoring her dad’s 1971 Land Rover. She traded pre-law classes for automotive restoration, proving that the adventure—and the love of Land Rovers—keep rolling. Check out the article!

Remember that one time in Glamis when it was 114°F with high winds? Yeah, us too. That’s exactly why we love Anetik’s Performance Hoodies—the Women’s Breeze Tech Hoody and the Men’s Low Pro Tech Hoody. They’re breathable, practical, and pack down so small we bring them everywhere. Whether on the Rebelle course or anywhere else you’re spending time outdoors, these hoodies have got you covered.

Spring means changing road conditions—and your tires might have taken a beating over winter. This month, take a close look at tread depth, uneven wear, sidewall bruising, and tire pressures. A wiser car dealer told us when we were young, “the vehicle you are driving is only as good as the tires it is riding on.” Good tires aren’t just about performance—they’re your best bet for safety, efficiency, and getting you confidently through mud season. When was the last time you went beyond just looking at pressures on your dash screen? #LongMayWeDrive
