OCTOBER 7 – 17, 2026

Competition

Blending the love of driving with the ultimate challenge of precise navigation, the Rebelle tests your skills over 8 days of competition. It is not a race for speed, but a unique and demanding event based on the elements of headings, hidden checkpoints, time, and distance using maps, compass, and roadbook.

A Unique & Challenging Format

We have worked years to create a competitive format – known as Rebelle Format – that meets our competitive mission, works on public lands, respects the environment, with a unique points system that pushes competitors. It is a game of strategy.

The Vehicles

The Rebelle is a competition for stock, OEM vehicles, not race cars. Street legal, minimal mods. Because the vehicle in driveways across the globe are more capable than people realize.

The Rebelle Rally has two vehicle classes:

4×4

4-Wheel Drive vehicles = has a two-speed transfer case (low range gears).

Examples: Jeep Wrangler/Rubicon, Pickup trucks, and SUVs including Toyota Tacoma 4×4, Ford Bronco, Land Rover, Nissan Frontier.

X-CROSS®

Two-wheel or All-Wheel Drive = NO two-speed transfer case (no low range gears)

Examples: Subaru Forester/Outback, Mitsubishi Outlander, Toyota RAV4, Ford Bronco Sport, Porsche Cayenne, etc.

Rules Overview

Special Designations
& Awards

Designations are given to special categories without creating unnecessary stand alone classes that may “fragment” the competition. These are designed to give special recognition – from trophies to donations to team’s charities.

The Electrified Designation

The 2020 5th Anniversary Edition of the Rebelle Rally launched the Electrified Designation. EV and PHEV vehicles competed in their respective 4×4 or X-Cross® class with designation on the vehicles, scoring, and receive special recognition in media features.

IT IS GROUND-BREAKING.

This program is designed carefully with attention to detail regarding range and fueling on course and in base camp. This program is currently limited in number and restricted to OEMs. For inquiries regarding participation requirements, please contact us at info@rebellerally.com.

Contingencies

2026 Pirelli Scorpion™ Tire Challenge

The Pirelli Scorpion™ Tire Challenge is back for 2026! This year, competitors will again choose between the Scorpion™ XTM All-Terrain and the Scorpion™ All-Terrain Plus as they navigate through California and Nevada. The All-Terrain Plus carries multiple years of Rebelle experience, while the XTM continues to build on its debut season.

While the Pirelli Scorpion™ Tire Challenge is open to all teams (corporate or privateer), registered Rebelle privateers are eligible for a standout support package from Pirelli, including $1,000 off your team’s registration, a complimentary set of Scorpion™ tires, and entry into this dedicated challenge within the rally.

2026 Pennzoil Challenge

We are very excited to announce the return of the Pennzoil Challenge for the 2026 Rebelle Rally!

The challenge is open exclusively to privateer teams, with top honors going to the highest-scoring team running Pennzoil. The prize? A VIP trip to the 2027 Pennzoil 400, along with other premium awards.

2026 Ford Raptor Route

For 2026, Ford Racing is expanding its support for privateer teams through the newly branded Ford Raptor Route program. Formerly known as the Ford Grassroots Program, the initiative builds on last year’s successful debut, which supported 7 privateer teams competing in Ford vehicles.

Open to privateer teams competing in Ford vehicles in the 4×4 class (with X-Cross® entries considered on a case-by-case basis), Ford Raptor Route provides financial assistance and exclusive team gear to help competitors take on our 2,500+ kilometer extreme outdoor endurance competition this October.

The Ultimate Proving Ground

We refer to the Rebelle Rally as the ultimate authentic proving ground for people, products, and vehicles. That is not an outcome of the event…an after the fact observation. We built it that way from the start.
