The Waypoint Wanderers are back! This duo comprised of a 3rd and 4th year Rebelle, is headed back to our fifth anniversary to tackle a little unfinished business – in their sweet FJ no less. In today’s Team Tuesday, please welcome returning Team #148 Andrea Shaffer and Anna Lewis!

Andrea: Stay at home mom, and a vinyl business owner.
Anna: Director of Technical Services
What made you compete in the Rebelle Rally this year?
Andrea: We had such an amazing time competing together in 2019, we knew from the finish line that we wanted to return.
Anna: We left 2019 with some unfinished business. We left some points on the table and want to return this year to grab as many of them as we can.
How did you and your teammate meet?
Andrea: Anna and I met during the 2017 Rebelle Rally. We started talking again while stalking the 2018 Rebelle. We just clicked! We competed together in 2019 and had such a great time, and can’t wait to be back!
Anna: We met during the 2017 Rebelle Rally. My initial memory of Andrea was her hiking to a checkpoint in Dumont Dunes while her teammate was working on their vehicle. Her grit and determination to get as many points as possible even with adversity showed me what an awesome lady she is.
Tell us about your competition vehicle. Why did you choose it to compete in?
Anna’s 2014 FJ Cruiser is her daily driver and has been a durable and reliable off-road companion for the last 6 years. And honestly, why wouldn’t we?
Any other fun facts you’d like to add in?
Andrea: I am a stay at home mom to my 3 kids, aged 10, 7 and 5.
Anna: I have been in research and development within the food industry for almost 20 years. You have likely eaten a product that I developed
