Kicking the weekend off right with a team highlight – please welcome Team #151 Janette Cordoza and Jen Henning!
Like many teams before them, Janette and Jen met via the Rebelle teammate questionnaire form when both were looking for a potential teammate. The two connected online, and after texting, phone calls, and meeting for coffee the first time, they immediately hit it off. From there, Team #151 Doyenne Offroad was formed.
Janette is a professor and equestrian competitor who is new to the Rebelle, and Jen is an arts administrator and project management consultant who is returning to the Rebelle for the third time. Both love the outdoors including off-roading, and also fur babies – between the two they have ten!

Hometown/Current town:
Janette: Modway Park, NC/Wildomar, CA
Jen: Sacramento, CA / Joshua Tree/Morongo Basin, CA
Favorite Food:
Janette: Southern Comfort Food.
Jen: Everything (EXCEPT Sea Urchin and super weird stuff, you know what I’m talking about).
Something only your best friend knows about you:
Janette: Oh boy something my best friend knows, well I have been told I laugh hysterically in my sleep.
Jen: I plead the fifth.
Favorite place ever:
Janette: Banff National Park, located in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains.
Jen: Any place with the people I love.
Why did you pick the vehicle you’re competing in?
Janette: I like to refer to my vehicle as “The little red Jeep that can.” It’s the family Jeep that has done the Rubicon several times and I felt it was only fitting to add the Rebelle Rally to its resumé.
Jen: That’s a question for Janette. 🙂
Why the Rebelle?
Janette: Over the past several years I have had several life changing events happen to me. One that almost cost me my life last year. I took away from that live life to its fullest, follow your dreams, and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. The Rebelle Rally was brought to my attention right after that and my first thought was, “Hell ya where do I sign up.”
Jen: So many reasons! To challenge myself, continue testing and refining my skills, pushing outside my comfort zone, to be surrounded by and learn from amazing world class female competitors. This is my third Rebelle – I’m feeling both excited and nervous!
Any shout-outs you’d like to make while you have our attention?
Janette: First and foremost my family and friends that have been right there always supporting my wild ideas. Huge shoutout to our sponsors Dez at NexGen in Murrieta for support in keeping “The red Jeep” in top shape and to Dr. Robert Schaffer at Schaffer Dental Excellence in San Diego for his support and keeping the smiles bright!
Jen: A HUGE thank you to America’s Tire, Nexgen Off road, and all of our sponsors as we take on this challenge!
